I just love spring. The beautiful flowers are blooming, the birds are chirping, the cool, dewy mornings transition into lovely warm afternoons. Alongside the changes in nature, new styles start popping up in stores and we shed our winter closets for spring clothes and our boots for open toed shoes. I love pulling out dresses, fun tops and sandals as the weather gets warmer, and I’m excited for the new arrivals that have been coming out in my favorite stores. There are so many cute spring items out right now, so I thought I would make a spring wishlist from a few items that have caught my eye.
I am loving the ruffles, one-shoulder (or off-the-shoulder), and stripes (shocker) trends this season. The unique shapes of tops and dresses are so prevalent, and I imagine would make putting together outfits so fun! I have one shirt with ruffled sleeves and not only is it fun to wear, it is unexpected and makes me feel more confident! I’ll take that perk any day! :)
I have been on the lookout for new sandals since last summer, and never bit the bullet. I have my eye on these Jack Rogers Lauren slide sandals and am crossing my fingers that they might show up in a wrapped box on my birthday ;)
Two other items I’m looking to replace are my raincoat and my coin purse. I have had my raincoat since high school and while it has been a durable shell, the lining is starting to peel off. Since I’m no longer wearing it for treks across campus, like I did in college, but likely just short jaunts between my car and buildings, I love the idea of these more adult-looking options. The colors and shapes are so gorgeous, you wouldn’t even think they were raincoats. Maybe this is a sign that I hold on to things too long, but I’m also still using the coin purse (which I use as a wallet) that Will gave me when we were in college. It is on it’s last leg and struggling to hold on. Just like my raincoat, I’m excited to get one that looks more adult-like, and less college-bound. These classic leather options look beautiful and would fit the bill perfectly, no pun intended.
What are some of your favorite spring items!?
