march goals

After a long, drawn out January, February felt like the short month that it is. I crammed in a lot in the 28 days, both at work and in my personal life, with 9 events at work, a finalized residency match list, an out of town funeral for my wonderful Papa, and the start of our road trip to Alabama to visit Will’s sister. I look back now and can’t believe everything that happened in just February alone. With Match Day just 10 days away, I know March will be filled with excitement (and closure, thank goodness). Let’s get into it!

These bushes seem to think it is spring already :)

February Goals:
– Celebrate the life of my Papa with love
– Take purged items from our closet to the thrift store – The bags are still sitting in our guest bedroom. Whoops.
– Apply for CSEP exam
– Do (at least) one strength-training exercise a week
– Complete my “Good Time Journal” exercise each week in the Designing Your Life workbook
– Restock small basic clothing items (i.e. black ankle socks) – This doesn’t seem exciting, but it makes getting ready more streamlined!
– Get reusable ziplock bags – We got silicone bags like these.
– Finalize and submit our residency match ranking list (!) – Eek!
– Visit Will’s sister in Auburn – This started in February and bled into March with a Toomer’s Corner lemonade and a War Eagle!

March Goals:
– Celebrate Will’s birthday!
– Celebrate MATCH DAY and throw a Match Day party with family
– Look for a place to live in our new home (if we are moving for residency)
– Take purged items from our closet to the thrift store to donate
– Start studying for CSEP exam
– Do (at least) one strength-training exercise a week
– Start making my guide to the Triangle
– Try one new-to-us place in the Triangle
– Do the mind mapping portion of the Designing Your Life workbook
– Bring dinner to friends with a new baby (I just realized that this has been on my list for 3 of the last 4 months, for different friends each time. Does this signify our gradual transition to another phase of life? ;))
