It’s a long weeeeeeeekend (get it, long weekend?) and I couldn’t be more excited about it. We are headed to the beach for a great friend’s wedding and time with wonderful college friends. I’m over the moon ecstatic for all of it :) I hope your weekend is fun and relaxing, just how Labor Day Weekend should be.

We’re starting off our link love today with biscuits. Specifically flour in biscuits – does it matter what kind you use, and if so, which is the best? My family made homemade biscuits every Saturday morning growing up (my dad still does it now), and we noticed a difference when we switched from generic brand flour to White Lily after advice from a 90+ year old southern woman. Who are we to not listen to that kind of experience? She was right.

Athlesiure is such a funny trend to me. Years ago, we wouldn’t have dreamed of wearing exercise gear in public like we do now. I agree, it is absolutely comfortable, but there are still places it should be off limits (also, why is it so expensive?!). This article on athlesiure is an interesting finding of how we think about ourselves when we are wearing athlesiure attire.

I have vowed to get better at knowing wines and understanding what I like. I have definitely grown in my tastes, but this post with questions and pro tips from a sommelier is gold for my goal.

This podcast is me right now. Stuck somewhere between wanting to hold on to long days, but also already planning my fall wardrobe. I work in event planning, which means we are always looking ahead, and I really love to have my calendar laid out and planned in advance, but it can be difficult to live in the moment with all of the anticipation of what is next.

Speaking of fall, fall fashion week is coming up and this is your guide to sifting through those September magazines and deciphering what you should read. You got this!

Keeping with our entrance to fall, in case you hadn’t heard, Starbucks is coming out with a NEW drink to offer alongside the Pumpkin Spice Latte – the Chile Mocha. I’m not sure how I feel about that. I think PSLs are just okay (gasp, I know), but love the gingerbread tea lattes at Christmastime, and I’m wondering if the spice level of the chile mocha is similar. I can’t wait to hear all of the reviews!

That’s it for today! Enjoy your weekend, the end of summer and a day off (if you have it)!
