Last Friday was Match Day, and in case you missed it, we are going to spend the next three years in – drumroll, please…
Nashville! Will matched into Internal Medicine at Vanderbilt and we are getting excited to start our next chapter in Music City! We both grew up in Raleigh and went to school in Durham and Chapel Hill, and my last 9 years have been in this small college town, so moving to another state and a bigger city will be a big change for us! The whole process has been a whirlwind, and when I think about moving I am equal parts excited and nervous for the move, but mostly very proud of Will matching into such a great program and one that he really loves.
Since we have only been to Nashville once (for the interview!), we really don’t know much about the area. We have already dug in deep, researching places to live, areas of the city, and things to do, but if you have any ideas or recommendations for us, we’re all ears! We are planning to take another trip back before we move in June, but there is so still much to learn about our new home. We are excited to explore a new place and see a different part of the country! I didn’t bring my camera out when we visited for the interview, but I’ll leave you with some iphone snaps until we can get back :)
