what are you baking for the holidays?

It is officially the Christmas season! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving yesterday! While we are barely out of our food coma, I’m already so excited to start baking for Christmas. There is something nostalgic and magical about traditional Christmas cookies and the memories they bring back, and something fun and exciting around incorporating the classic flavors of the season into new versions of cookies. It is always fun to see what other people make each year so I’m including my list below, but I would also love to know what you are baking for the holidays – both traditional and new!

Marbled peppermint sugar cookies are a fun holiday treat and a staple in our Christmas cookie boxes. The marbling is so pretty that they don't even require royal icing or extra decorating, leaving more time for all of your other holiday activities! | www.passthecookies.com

Cookies:
Shortbread – this is super easy and makes a great gift
Spritz
Meringues with chocolate chips
Butter pecan cookies (these would be good too!)
Brown butter ginger cookies – my favorite!
Gingerbread cookies
Marbled peppermint sugar cookies
Chocolate peppermint cookies

Rosemary spiced pecans are the perfect sweet and salty snack for your appetizer board. With their deliciously addictive flavor, everyone will ask you for this recipe. | Pass the Cookies | www.passthecookies.com

Non cookies:
Orange cranberry scones – these make a great gift too
Rosemary spiced pecans
Easy English toffee – another giftable treat
Baked Brie bites – I made these for Friendsgiving this year and they were a hit!
Chocolate covered marshmallows with peppermint
Mulled wine

Whew, that’s a lot to pack in, but all delicious. Now, what are you baking for the holidays?
