I hope your weeks went well.  It is hot and humid here which makes it hard to believe that the school year is about to start again soon.  Will’s classes start on Monday and the rest of the university follows suit soon after that.  Summer is so distinctly different from other months in a college town like ours.  Right now, campus is quiet and peaceful, traffic doesn’t pose a problem in the mornings and the only people out at night are a smattering of locals and the few college students who stayed in the area for the summer.  In a few weeks that will all change.  Students will swarm in and invade the town, transforming a small, quiet town into a bustling college town.  It will be impossible to navigate anywhere on campus by car in less than double the time it takes during the summer months and hundreds of people will cover the sidewalks at night.  I like how peaceful campus is right now and usually yearn for the summer months without all of the students by the end of the school year, but sometimes at the end of the summer it is so quiet that I wish they were all back on campus.  Conflicting, I know.  Only a few weeks left until they return, and until then, I give you link love!

Did you see NASA’s discovery?!?!!!!  So cool!

How about the tree that produces 40 different fruits?  One tree, 40 fruits.  That’s what we call efficient.  Or genetically modified.  To-may-to, to-mah-to.

This is an interesting video about the most recognizable voice in New York – the voice on the New York subway.

When you eat multi-colored sweets such as Skittles, Starbursts, Popsicles and Lifesavers, what color do you aim for most often?  If you answered red/pink, join the majority of candy-eaters in the US.

Last, but not least, take a look at this beautiful garden party.  The gorgeous flowers and great colors get me every time.

Happy Friday, everyone!  Have a lovely weekend!
