We’re back in action with some link love!

There are so many links I have been loving lately and haven’t had a chance to share them with you with the busyness of the holidays. Now that the crazy holiday schedules are behind us I have lots for your thoughts! I’m linking more than usual today to play catch up from the weeks we missed. There are some good ones in here!

I studied abroad in the Netherlands for a semester in college and experienced the winter while I was there. If bikes don’t work on the frozen roads, skating is the next best option ;)

This blogger took on an intricate dollhouse and made everything you have on your Pinterest “Home” board in miniature.  So cool, so crazy.  So crazy cool.

We are already a week into 2016, can you believe it?!  I love this gallery from the New York Times of 2015 in pictures.

Have a special occasion coming up? These illustrated cards are hilarious and sometimes inappropriate.  I think the poor lighting really enhances the crafty look of the creative cards.

Oh my gosh, I can’t believe I am just discovering the magic that is Katherine Sabbath.  I had never heard of her and now I can’t stop looking at her cakes.  So over-the-top awesome!  I want to make all of them and be inspired by the funky, colorful, spirited cake queen.

Speaking of cakes, Joy the Baker, one of the food blogs I have followed since my early college days, created an Instagram account called Drake on Cake.  Drake’s (sometimes vulgar) lyrics are juxtaposed with a lovely, decorated cake, usually involving icing roses.  It is so funny.  This is one of my favorites.  You go, Joy!

Wouldn’t it be great if we had longer nights and weekends?  I would gladly take more time to spend on hobbies I love (like this blog!), travel and rest!  This article provides insight into a company that transitioned from an 8-hour work day to a 5-hour work day.  Can we all do that?

These are a few things to think about as we dive deeper into the new year.  Things we should not be doing again this year, and things we should be filling our year with instead.

On that note, I love this letter to 2016.  Let’s take responsibility for our happiness.  Let’s be resilient.  Onward, 2016.
