2016 goals

I have never made New Year’s resolutions, but I do enjoy making goals for the year.

I like how goals push me to strive to meet them, but are still manageable. They also allow me to make lists, and I love me some lists. I’m excited and encouraged about 2016 and the goals I have for the year. I am excited to be intentional and make progress on these goals. Some of the goals are things I have struggled with this past year, but I am looking forward to the challenge of tackling them in this new year and being able to measure myself against this touchstone.

So, here we go, 2016 goals:

-Clean my closet and donate/give away clothes/shoes I don’t need
-Drink the recommended amount of water at least 4 out of 7 days a week
-Read a new book
-Make a meal plan most weeks (I started with this in 2015 and did well until about November)
-Make a list of easy snacks and meals to pull from (for meal planning and quick reference)
-Travel to at least two new places
-Move into a different apartment/home!
-Go to bed by midnight most nights
-Bake/cook at least 12 recipes I have never made before
-Print, frame and hang photos from 2015 travels
-Plant herbs (this depends on where we are living and when we move, but still a goal!)
-Host dinners with family and friends
-Smile more
-Improve my photography skills
-Be intentional about taking pictures of life
-Be intentional about reaching out to and keeping up with friends
-Exercise at least 4 days a week, when possible. But, don’t feel guilty if I can’t work out one day
-Pay it forward at least once
-Stick to our budget
-Find a new devotional
-Make goals for individual months or seasons this year
-Engage Pass the Cookies on more channels

  1. Awesome stuff. Hands down one of my favorite blog on the internet. Anyone not on the PTC bandwagon needs to hop on right now. Keep up the good work.
