This week has felt all sorts of wonky for me.  I think it is because I was out of town and on the road from Wednesday to Sunday, which got me out of any sort of routine, and then I never returned to my regular routine when I got back. Will is on a surgery rotation, so our schedules have adjusted and have us getting up really early and going to bed earlier than we usually do. It has also legitimately been 100 degrees outside, which has mad my usual running schedule go out the window the second I step outside.  On top of these things, I have been working an event at work for the past few days, which also extends and changes my work schedule.  With all of this, I have truly struggled to remember which day it was every day this week. We have another wedding weekend to attend, but first, here’s some link love!

Have you fallen into Pokemon Go yet?  I never played Pokemon as a kid, so I really couldn’t care less about it, but I think it is so interesting to see the impact technology has on our lives.  People are moving around and going outside to play the game, rather than sitting on the couch, and there are arguments that it could improve users’ physical and mental health. Not sure if I buy that, but still an interesting impact of technology on our society.
I love this cookbook idea.  I’m always jotting things down about recipes I make and writing straight in the cookbooks (which I really don’t mind).  I have a small notebook for my own recipe development, but the categories in this kickstarter book are great!
How do we think of happiness?  What makes us happy?  This study looks at how the genomics of happiness can affect the rest of our lives.  It shows a new way to look at happiness. Big stuff.
A Museum of Ice Cream is coming to New York.  I repeat, a museum of ice cream is coming to New York.  If you are in NY I expect you to go and report back.

As shown by the name of this blog, I love making cookies.  I love baking new kinds of cookies and serving them to friends and family whenever anyone stops by our apartment.  While I hope the recipes here provide you with some great flavors, I love this post on tips to improve your cookies.  They are all spot on and good to remember.  Happy baking!
